Hello!  Welcome to Green Planet Baby!

Green Planet Baby is a cloth diaper Internet retail company focusing on "saving the planet one cloth diaper at a time."  We want to encourage parents to use cloth diapers full or part time, while educating them about the benefits to the environment.   We promote a 'reduce waste & reuse' state of mind, offering parents alternatives to such things as the juice box or the plastic snack bags.  Our product line includes cloth diapers, cloth diaper accessories, reusable items, Parent items, and various items that help save our planet.   We want to get the word out on how you can help save the planet in other ways too! This is why we promote an environmental charity each month.

I am a Stay At Home Mom to one little cloth diapered cutie and one former little cloth diapered cutie.   My girls are the reason this site was started.  Like many other cloth diapering Moms, I became obsessed with it.  If you aren't into cloth diapering, you will never understand this obsession.  I wanted to know all about cloth diapering...the different kinds, the benefits to baby, what type people preferred and why, and most importantly I wanted to know how good it really was for the environment.   Using one cloth diaper means one less disposable diaper in our landfill.  That one disposable diaper can take up to 500 years to fully decompose.  One child alone can add about 6,500 disposable diapers to our landfills.  This is why we are "saving the planet one cloth diaper at a time."

I decided to create Green Planet Baby when I realized that there weren’t any cloth diapering stores in South Jersey.  I figured that I could run my business out of my home while still being a stay at home mom.  I could help other local moms learn about cloth diapering while giving them the opportunity to see all of the products in person if they needed. It has always been a dream of mine to own my own business. I have a B.S. from Penn State University in Business and a MAT from Mt. St. Mary's University in Elementary Education. Green Planet Baby is the perfect mixture of both business and education. I get to sell items I love and teach about them and the benefits to the environment! 

I am constantly looking for new & exciting cloth diaper items, baby items, Mommy & Daddy items, and environmentally friendly items to add to our growing site.  It is starting out small but I hope to gradually build a big inventory.  I am constantly asking other parents what they want to see & what their favorite items are.  I want to have a huge selection of various items so that many people can support us.

 It scares me to think what the world will be like when my girls are my age.  It is so important for us to do everything we can to help save our planet.   Everyone is welcome here...even if you do not use cloth diapers on your baby or even if you don't have a baby.  Please take some time to learn what you can do in your everyday life to help save our planet.  If every person does one environmentally friendly thing a day, it will be a huge help.  Please visit our links & help support our charities.  They are doing a wonderful job for us and our planet and they really appreciate the support.
